An order may be a micro-purchase, an open-market buy, or a simplified acquisition, including a requirement a VISN gathers for more than one facility. We prepare the quote for the contracting officer, the logistics office, or the facility manager, name an acceptable alternate when the requested item is short, and mark anything that cannot wait.
